Hybrids and long irons are medium to long clubs that you would use off the fairway or in the rough. A hybrid is a wood with less cc in the head and a more lofted angle so that the ball will go further than an iron and shorter than a wood. Long irons have a normal iron head but have less loft than a normal iron. One of the big differences between hybrids and long irons is that hybrids hit higher so they land softer and sit faster, where long irons hit lower so they land shallower and run further.
